Suspended From Primfeed – My Disappointment Was Immeasurable...and my day (possibly my week) was ruined.

Serenity..Wearing the offending Logo. This is not allowed!

The Lore...

After the great Flickr debacle hit our little corner of the Second Life adult scene, many of you will remember I went looking for free alternatives for members of **The Sexiest Pornstars**. I didn't want people to feel they had to pay for Flickr Pro just to remain an active part of the community.

Some people objected to Flickr's changes on principle (myself included). Others simply couldn't afford it. Either way, it felt unfair.

So we adapted.

I started sourcing galleries from Slushe, DeviantArt and Twitter/X, while Ali continued with Flickr galleries. We promoted the **Sexiest** tags on Slushe, created a dedicated Sexiest group on DeviantArt, and launched an official hashtag on Twitter. I pushed those platforms hard because I didn't want anyone to feel like a second-class Pornstar simply because they weren't paying for Flickr.

The important thing was that nothing really changed for members. You could still share your work in-world, still submit links, and still have the chance to appear on the Pornstars Blog. Just as people had done for well over 17 years.

Then along came Primfeed.

I'd often said the three platforms we were using were really just lifeboats. They kept the free side of the community afloat, but they were never perfect. My hope was always that one day a platform would appear that brought everything back together again, much like Flickr once did.

Primfeed looked like that platform.

It was built around Second Life, supported both images and video, and felt like exactly what our community needed.

I promoted the absolute hell out of Primfeed.

I even renamed blog features around it to help spotlight the platform during its early days. My thinking was simple: if people uploaded there, they'd be seen by our community, and if our community uploaded there, Primfeed would grow. Everybody wins.

I even pay for Primfeed myself, partly because I believe in supporting platforms I rely on. Primfeed gave you a choice, Free or Upgraded Paid services. Flickr did not, which was my main gripe with them. Now they've taken that even further. In my country the UK, you have to age verify to see adult content. Flickr offer no free means to age verify. Guess what the only means of age verifying is? Go pro! So before i could not use Flickr, now i cannot even view it without paying. Which underlines how welcome Primfeed is on our scene.

So... How Did I End Up Suspended?

Quite early on, Luke (Primfeed's owner) asked me not to add my **Sexiest Primfeed of the Week** graphics into the Primfeed Public Gallery because promotional graphics with heavy text weren't allowed there.

Fair enough.

His platform, his rules.

It reduced the reach of those graphics a little, but I respected the decision.

Which is why I was so surprised this week, years later, when I was suddenly suspended without warning. The owner himself saw the Sexiest of the Week Graphics way back, and seemed ok with them, as long as they were not in the Primfeed Gallery section. Which i observed from that day onwards.

The reasons?

Apparently I had infringed trademarks/copyright by using various logos.

The Primfeed logo was one.

In fact, I was even told I couldn't place the word "Primfeed" alongside my own logo in the way I had.

Old DeviantArt and Slushe promotional graphics were also cited.

Even... Temu.

Yes, really.

The Temu logo appeared in an old parody image making a joke about YouTube Channel culture. It was clearly satire. Nobody looking at it would reasonably think Temu had suddenly decided to sponsor a Second Life porn blog.

Serenity..Not Sponsored by TEMU.( Slushe are also more than happy to get in on the act. And have their Logo visible as a water mark on this downloaded Pic. To be featured wherever i choose. )

What Disappointed Me

I've supported Primfeed in several ways over time.

I've paid for multiple subscriptions, spent countless hours introducing the platform to the community, encouraged others to join, and featured it regularly across my blog and in my Sexiest Group. In many ways, I’ve helped promote the service simply because I believed in it and wanted to see it succeed.

Of course, I understand that none of this entitles anyone to special treatment. Platforms need rules, and those rules need to be applied fairly.

However, I did feel that my history of support and as a paying customer I deserved something very basic: communication.

A message.

A warning.

Even a simple, “Hey, could you please stop doing this?”

Instead, the first interaction was an immediate suspension.

Officially, it was for one day — although that one day somehow extended into a third. I was suspended on Sunday, remained unable to access my account throughout Monday, and was eventually able to return sometime in the early hours of my Tuesday morning.

Responses from Primfeed were delivered politely, accompanied by references to the rules and even a few emojis. Which was pleasant, but I was frustrated i could not get anything meaningful across or acknowledged.

A little communication before taking action would have made a significant difference. They finally said I was being un realistic in my suggestions for a fairer treatment ( recieving a warning message, instead of being suspended. ) as they process thousands of pics a week. But, they send a message about why you're being suspended, so why not just send the message only, and hold back on the suspension? At least initially. Give you a chance to show them you'll comply without something more drastic being needed. I truly appreciate they are busy people. But i hope they appreciate how jarring it is to be suspended. And how bad you feel. Especially if you were not being an asshole or anything! It's likely making you look bad too, and you imagine everybody is trying to imagine what a bad person you must be to get booted off Primfeed! Was i suspended for being a troll, a cyber bully, a scammer? Nobody knows at the time. They just see your account does not exist and wonder what happened or what you did.

Their Platform, Their Rules

To be clear...

Primfeed absolutely has the right to decide what is and isn't allowed on its own platform.

One thing that particularly puzzled me though was being told I needed express permission from DeviantArt to use their logo.

That simply isn't true.

DeviantArt actually provides downloadable logos page specifically for promotional use, provided you follow their branding guidelines and don't modify them. That's exactly what I did. I know many other sites have the same philosophy too.

That same line of thinking is what I 'mistakenly' applied to the Primfeed logo.

I wasn't attempting to represent myself as Primfeed.

I wasn't implying endorsement or an official partnership.

I wasn't trying to mislead or confuse anyone.

The logo was simply there to indicate that the featured gallery contained content hosted on Primfeed. My intention was to encourage people to visit the platform and celebrate the creators whose work was featured there—to say, in effect, "If you're on Primfeed, you're in the spotlight."

Outside of Primfeed, I would generally regard that as a straightforward example of promotional use. However, Primfeed has chosen to apply a more restrictive policy within its own platform.

That's entirely their prerogative, even if it wasn't the outcome I expected.

Why It Hit So Hard

I put a lot into keeping this community visible because I genuinely enjoy doing it.

So having the rug pulled out from under me right at the end of a full weeks work was upsetting. Every gallery takes time. Every graphic takes time. Every blog post. Every social media promotion. Every weekly feature.

A lot of things prepared were going unpublished, a lot of people were not being featured. A lot of the work felt like it was for nothing. From experience I know if you miss windows promoting stuff, that's that.

I'll be honest, i felt upset, because i was genuinely trying to help and support Primfeed, and steer people to a platform i felt was perfect for our scene.

Where Things Go From Here

Thankfully, we already have something better.

Our own identity.

Our own branding.

Our own logos.

They represent over seventeen years of creativity, friendships, achievements and community history. We've been around about 15 years longer than Primfeed too.

So from this point forward I'll simply be using that branding instead.

I'll continue paying for Primfeed because it's still a useful platform for our members, but I won't be actively promoting the platform itself through the group or the blog anymore. I will still publish the Sexiest Primfeed of the Week in all but name, those hot pics which i've spotted on the platform using our hashtag, but it'll be without the Primfeed branding in future.

Not because I'm angry.

Well... perhaps *slightly*.

Mostly because I don't particularly fancy risking another suspension for trying to advertise someone else's platform.

I think what disappointed me most wasn't the suspension itself.

It was realising I'd probably thought more highly of the platform than the platform thought of me.

That's a shame.

The Sexiest® Pornstars Group is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Primfeed, and we do not endorse Primfeed. Serenity Now! : Serenity V's Elon - Plus New Naughty Pics!

First off. A huge thank you to everybody I posed for lately. I love to model or act in other people's movies. It's so special to be asked. Some think I am not available, some are even scared to ask!? I'm told! But please ask, if you don't mind a few days for me to ensure my RL and SL are free, we can usually sort out a shoot. Massive thanks today for this shot above from  Salvo Waydelich. See it on Flickr. Click here!

Serenity Now!

"The Bird is Free". Said Elon Musk, after he finalized his purchase of Twitter. He promises "Free Speech" on the platform. And will also un-ban accounts previously silenced by the former owners. Banned for pretty good reasons too It has to be said. From simple trolling, and making the platform's users miserable, to outright hate speech. All the way up to inciting insurrections!

Now if you're like me and you just want your Twitter to be an awesome place to host your Porn projects, interact with our Pornstars Community, and maybe follow some Fandoms, or follow your favorite celebrities. Then hate-mongers and the 'Free Speech' ( ie License to Hate and Troll and be a Total Asshole. ) crowd might seem at odds with your perfect experience.

If so I'd urge you to do what I've done and silence them! You are able to filter and mute any word you wish on Twitter. And content including them simply won't appear in your feed. I am on a crusade to banish anything too political from my Twitter. Why? Because It's the opposite of why I joined. I just wanted a good Flickr Alternative mostly, and also enjoy following stuff like Star Wars, and my '80s pop culture and music. But, I have very strong political opinions and views. And I just get sucked into wars of words with bigots, homophobes, transphobes, racists, and right-wing trolls. So I'm saving myself, from myself, and slowly adding key Muted words to never be seen again on my Twitter. Adding words like Elon Musk, Trump, etc is a very good start towards a quiet peaceful Twitter!

Find The Peaceful Life - Serenity Now!

It's early days in adding my muted words and I'm already finding Twitter a much more pleasant place to be. If I want depressing news I'll visit a News Site. I really don't want Elon spoiling a perfectly great set of Bimbo Boobs! Thank you very much!

Serenity's News & Gossip #1

Into The DeviantArt Hundreds! In Recovery From Flickr.

A highlight for me this summer was getting close to, and at last with the image above hitting 100 Likes, or Faves or whatever on DeviantArt. I know not wanting to leave followers and all those lovely 'Faves' behind at Flickr was a huge driving force in peoples choice to go Flickr Pro. But I've stayed Non-Pro myself. For several reasons. Chiefly i didn't feel I can promote alternatives to those who cannot or will not pay Flickr, by being safely Flickr Pro myself and saying "Just use that site there i told you about, I'm sure it will be fine!". I felt i had to be 100% on those platforms myself to champion them and explore them fully for my members. Ali covers Flickr brilliantly for our group. And the advantages of that platform need no introduction from me. But this new landscape of NSFW hosts needed me to do my bit. So, I'm very happy to have effectively left Flickr for the most part, aside from an occasional 'Safe' image. And built up a new base at a brand new venue to the point I'm getting pretty much the same feedback as i did before it all went to sh*t. You can't put any old thing on there and get an overwhelming reaction, but i find if i am truly happy and love a pic it does pretty well. It's quite honest feedback.

The best bit is a bunch of new people got to see me, and what I'm all about. Many of them are former Second Life users who have come back, and re discovered SL since seeing mine and other Pornstars Pics too in our new DeviantArt Sexiest® Group. You're welcome LL!

My reasons for concern over all this was as Sexiest® Pornstars Group owners myself and Emmanuelle Jameson attempted to navigate a similar event when Naughty Machinima, the website that hosted 99% of the scenes movies went Pay to use a decade or so ago. Emma even lost her whole body of work when the web site scrubbed servers in preparation to monetize! Truly Devastating and some producers just gave up. We tried to keep things together with the limited options available at the time, but our Movie scene was scattered all over the net. A huge sense of community among the movie makers was lost, and I don't think it ever recovered long term. I was determined to not let that happen to anybody who could not pay to show their pictures. Or to see any form of class system arise. But, I'm happy to say with the large numbers going Flickr Pro, together with the superb free options uncovered. Such as DeviantArt, Slushe.Com, and Twitter which I've showcased and supported in our Group and on the Pornstars Blog. I'm happy to report, there has been no downturn in the Erotic Photo scene. However, i'm sure you can appreciate how i worried at the time, and wanted to take steps to avoid this great scene from suffering as it did before. I feel we've also 'Future Proofed' the Pornstars scene in the event Flickr further changes its TOS. With established Pornstars Communities now in place and thriving at many alternative homes for our Porn Projects.

The Ups & Downs - Are We Having Fun Yet?

Serving It Up 'Safe!' - Me having fun with Flickr. My Totes safe T.T Pic last week!

Buzz Kill! All That Flickr Drama.

Been a busy, busy time! Which at times totally burned me out. But i needed to try and get the message out to those that needed it, that things would be OK. Being busy though, meant I couldn't tackle the busy time I had planned. I was hoping to shoot a little brand new intro and some new movie scenes on the new 'Cockbuster Video Store' sets. On the Anniversary of the 'Electric Pornstars - Star Whores '83'. On May 4th. And feature the Award-winning Sex Scene from that movie with myself and Chase Stone. But, the Flickr Drama took all my free time away online instead. I had to research and trial numerous alternatives to Flickr and report on them via the Sexiest Pornstars Blog.

This is also a good time for me to say I am not 'Anti Flickr' now. Anybody who knows me has seen me continue to use my Free 'Safe Flickr'. In-fact Some of my best friends are Flickr Pro members! ( Joke. ) I'm still enjoying it. And I'll urge any Free Flickr Members to use it still. We need to preserve and support the Flickr Community of Sexiest Pornstars sharing the most awesome photography there. And the legacy of the Sexiest Group on Flickr too. I plan on always uploading safe versions of my NSFW projects at Flickr and linking to them in the Flickr Descriptions. It's a great way to promote your work to an audience you worked hard to build up. While still being involved at Flickr and supporting our fellow members there

Serving It Up Hot! - The Not So Safe Version Hosted Everythere Else!

My many Blog Posts designed to help those that could not, or didn't want to go 'Pro'. As well as the permanent. Blog Page 'Here'. Was time well spent though I feel. And if I managed to help some people now or in the future find the best new homes for their work, who would have had to literally stop being Pornstars because they could not pay Flickr. I'm delighted to have done my bit.

Personally, I felt like I could not do this role as Sexiest Pornstars Group owner if I went Pro on Flickr myself. How can I preach about an alternative site being 'Almost as good as Flickr'. While I enjoy my Flickr Pro? If I'm telling people you can still be a top Pornstar and operate in this new way. Then I am putting my money where my mouth is. ( And not with Flickr Pro! ) Talking the talk, and walking the walk! I am in it with those guys. We're finding new ways, new sites, and new experiences. DeviantArt + SlusheFor example, I'm saying these two combined pretty much = Your old Flickr Experience. Not as simple as all under one roof at Flickr. But when you factor in the complete 'New Way' of going about being a Sexiest Pornstar. I think you start to feel you're getting as much out of it as you ever have. If not more. Because the future has so many new possibilities.

Happy Ass Mondays - Happily Hosted On Slushe, DeviantArt & Twitter - For Free.

With the new Sexiest Photo group and Blog Galleries featuring the H.A.M and T.T and 'Milder' sexual imagery at DeviantArt along with the great social side there, plus new audiences gained, combined with the exceptional photo displays and ability to host 'Explicit' content at Slushe. It's a perfect pairing to pretty much replace your previous Flickr Experience. Like we had 'Before the dark times..Before the Pay Wall'.

I'm also embarking on an overhaul of the Sexiest Pornstars 'Discord' Server. So it can play its part as a Flickr Alternative. The Discord Chat Rooms and Sexiest Server there was created due to Second Life group Chat Glitches affecting our members' enjoyment. But now it has the potential to play a dual role and help people share their work on another platform.

Along with Twitter. These are more than just replacements or alternatives to Flickr Pro. They are a new way of 'Sexiest Pornstars' Life. As I called it on The Sexiest Blog at times. Twitter is 'The New World' For Us Pornstars. New opportunities and a vast new Audience. A place where Real World Porn Stars thrive. So why shouldn't we? It's perfect for sharing Photographs, Movie Clips. Sharing content as is, designed for Twitter, or using 'Tweets' to promote your body of work elsewhere. With Promo Video clips or the first photo in a set etc. Then link to your Blog or another hosting service. Twitter is as important to Flickr Pro members as it is to those without. I firmly believe we are going to see a new elite class of Pornstar emerge on Twitter or the other alternatives. And it'll all be down to some asshole making a dumb discision at Flickr!

As far as I'm concerned my Porn stuff is out there, getting seen and I'm having fun. Business as usual. Or better than usual, with the new horizons that have opened up as a result. I have my Blog Page, the end result of all my alternative Flickr research. So, I can refer those affected by Flickr Pro to it. And I'm happy to help anybody who wants to know more or needs any advice on Flickr alternatives too. IM me In-World 'Serenity Kristan'. ( Or drop me a NC. As i get Capped! ) But, i am still 100% behind all the Pornstars with Flickr Pro. Of course i had to make a lot of noise and promote those alternatives. You have to to get the messages across to those that need to hear it. I still have to going forward. There are always people who missed it the last time you promoted.

Porn Dolls, Fun, Loving, Life, and Home. <3

Of course. Still plenty of time for fun In-World though. At home, or in bed *winks*.....As you can see below! Going out, hanging out at Pink Institute as usual, plotting 'Porn Dolls' world domination, and shopping!

Such A Dissapointment. The New Inithium 'Squeezed' Corset Add-On Does'nt Come With a 'Periscope' Add-On!
Although i was unable to do much on the Porn Dolls project side due to all that Flickr stuff. I have been able to plan and do a few things. I am delighted to see the Porn Dolls studio grow. One new member especially i'm so happy to welcome is my friend Rachel Swallows. Who is not only a impeccable Porn Doll if i ever saw one! But also a brilliant content creator of all kinds, wether it's for her 'Core' store, her blogging, or as a Photographer. I can't call her an honoary Porn Doll really. As we're the ones honoured to have her!
Super Hawt New Porn Doll - Rachel Swallows.

I have had time to build a brand new 'Cockbuster Video Store' Movie Set! I find this so relaxing and fun to do. I also have decided on my next Porn Movie Project. Although i scrapped my mini movie for May 4th. Due to the Flickr crisis! I am busy planning a new Electric Pornstars 80s movie. Which should feature plenty of Porn Dolls. In a fun, and sexy plot as usual. With some hot sex too of course. If this project moves along as i hope. It will deliver ongoing content while keeping me involved with it for the rest of the year. I planned it and even built test sets over 2 years ago now. I have been so excited about it for so long. Now is the perfect time to make it. Because i have the perfect actresses in my Porn Dolls Group.

Building The New Cockbuster Video Store.

The Movie That Never Was - May The 4th Star Wars - Cancelled Through Lack Of Time :(

I can promise the next Electric Pornstars movie has many surprises. And it will be totally unique! Fun, and the perfect vehicle for us Porn Dolls.

Modelling For Vaughan Quan

Now that the Flickr stuff is calming down. I've been enjoying modeling, and was wowed by the work of Vaughan Quan when i posed for him recently. I cannot wait to get back for more! I cannot thank him enough for capturing me so perfectly. As for what else i'm doing? Well i'm done with typing. Here it is in pictures!

Of Course I Been Doing Lots of This Too. What Did You Expect!?

My Flickr Rant! - "No I Won't F*cking Hold!"

Having
spent over a month working hard to try and provide some alternatives for Flickr for my Sexiest Pornstars Members (And Porn Dolls too.). Hunting for some continuity and consistency in potential new hosting sites, and above all trying to always help Sexiest Pornstars Members not wishing to, or unable to pay to 'Go Pro' on Flickr. I have barely had time to think or form opinions on what they are doing. I just had to find a quality, suitable new home for members' work, my own work, and a new home for The Sexiest Photo group. Which is now Free to join and contribute to at DeviantArt! These were my priorities. I feel happy i have found and adopted several options that can help all of our Non-Flickr Pro Members.

I was determined not to let Flickr create two classes of Pornstar. I also worked to ensure the future of The Sexiest Photo Group for 'All'. As it was created for. The Photo group, The Blog, and The In-World Group have all been intertwined since the beginning. It was a cornerstone of The Pornstars, and is for The Sexiest Pornstars today.

Now i'm sitting back after doing all that and i'm pretty unhappy with Flickr. I'm a Porn producer in Second Life. But of course like many of you, i am a Porn Fan and a porn consumer in the wider on-line world too. I'm very familiar with the concept of pay to view porn. Seeing the options to buy memberships to a favourite Porn Star's web site. Or on Twitter seeing the subscription prices for 'OnlyFans' to get more intimate with the Porn Star of your choosing. But to have to pay to have your Porn work be seen by the public? 'Going Pro' to provide a web site with content they can attract an audience with? That's crazy to me! And pretty insulting.

I have a following of around 3,000 on Flickr. I'm sure i'm not alone in getting those empty Flickr Stream Followers who never upload, or create, they just want to browse and see yours and others naughty pics. We all must have had hundreds of them visit our streams and follow us over the years. They are moving around Flickr generating revenue for them via the advertising. We are providing the Porn Content for them to see. Which was ok, when we were not being charged for the privelidge. But now we are. Flickr Pro Members now pay Flickr for that privelidge. I guess it was worth alienating a few of us who were not going Pro in order to do so.

If times are hard and they 'Need' to generate more funds. Be honest don't pretend this enforced payment to share your work is making the site better. We're talking people who have generated revenue for their site for over a decade, where's the loyalty? I'm sure we'd have put up with more ads thrown at us, quantity caps on uploads per week, 500 images rather than 1,000. Anything in between "Pay us or stop what you're doing completely." Would have been nice. With these new TOS applying to 'New Members' only maybe? Lesser restrictions for long time, loyal users like us. Who entertained the masses at their Flickr site for years and years could have operated under a less drastic restriction.

I'm also probably not alone in Flickr setting my account to 'Moderate'. Which means the mininum safety level i can upload a Photo with is 'Moderate'. I am not allowed to Upload 'Moderate' images now. So my account is unusable. Unless i pay? I have written to Flickr to resolve this. But i'm not holding my breath. I'd like to continue to use the site with 'Safe' images. But at the moment they are holding my account to ransom.

I won't go Pro. I'm the Co-Owner of a group of over 3,000 plus, many of them content producers or Photographers who cannot, or maybe won't pay. I'm anxious that none of them feel second class Pornstars. As a result of this sharing ban. So i'm staying within their ranks and i'm operating with them out of alternative homes for our work.

I've found some fantastic sites as alternatives to Flickr. If function, and image quality, is your priority. Then we have homes even better than Flickr. And if you can live without paying Flickr for the convenience, familiarity, or for holding onto your following and 'likes'. Then i can reassure you there is life after Flickr. as a Non Flickr Pro Pornstar.
